Obedience with prayer
2 Kings 20:1 – 11
– verse 3:
Why did God hear his prayer? Hezekiah had done what is good
in God’s sight. So God heard his prayer. Those who do God’s will can come to the
Throne of God in prayer. How do we know what’s good in God’s sight/commandments?
Read John 15:7. So if we abide in Jesus, He will give us what we please. But then how to we know if He abides in us? The Greek word for abide is “dabide” and also means to remain.
What is God’s commandment?
1 John 3:18 – 24
Our heart may have doubts about approaching God, but the Truth(God) is greater than our hearth(our doubts). If we follow God’s commandments He will give to us what we ask. What are His Commandments?
- Believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ.
- To love one another.
By doing that we will abide in Him and Him in us. Holy Spirit is our witness that we abide in Christ.
When we come to God in prayer, our hearts and hands must be clean. Otherwise He will not hear our prayers (1 Timothy 2:8).
God gives us gifts for doing His will (Revelations 22:11).
