Ruach Yahweh
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenannah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said, “How did the Spirit of the LORD go from me to speak to you?”
– 1 Kings 22:24
In 1 Kings 22, Micaiah stood alone. Four hundred prophets claimed divine authority, but only he spoke the truth. What gave him clarity? What gave him courage?
It wasn’t charisma—it was Ruach Yahweh (the Spirit of Yahweh).
The Spirit of Yahweh is not just power—it’s wisdom, understanding, counsel, and might as we discover in Isaiah 11:2. It’s the Spirit that rests, not just visits. It’s the Spirit that reveals the throne room of heaven, not the echo chamber of man.
Paul urges us in 2 Corinthians 13:5 to examine ourselves. John warns us to test the spirits in 1 John 4:1. Jesus Himself said many would come in His name—but not all would be His. The key to discernment isn’t suspicion—it’s relationship. When Ruach Yahweh rests upon you, you begin to see with heaven’s eyes.
